Public Rails has no accounts, no comments, no newsletter, no advertising and no analytics. It does not set cookies.

What is collected

• By Public Rails: nothing. Pages are static files, and no tracking scripts or audience measurement tools are used.
• By the hosting provider: Cloudflare, which serves the site, processes standard technical data (such as IP address, time and requested page) to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks. The host's details are in the legal notice.
• Fonts: the typefaces (Schibsted Grotesk and IBM Plex Mono) are served from this site itself, like the pages and photos, so your browser does not connect to Google or any other font service when a page opens.

All photographs are stored on this site and load from the same address as the pages. Their sources and licences are listed on the photo credits page.

Links to other sites

Articles link to laws, official statistics, technical documentation and reports so that readers can check sources. Those sites have their own privacy policies.
